British accents, fish and chips, driving on the wrong side of the road - all of those common "American" ideas I thought of before I left for England in the summer of 2007. This is an online copy of the journal I kept during the adventure I embarked upon that summer truly changed my life.
Day One
July 8, 2007
New York 8:39 AM Eastern Time
I just got to grandma and grandpa's house in Ozone Park, New York. The flight was pretty shitty due to the fact I was rerouted from Burbank to LAX and had to go through security twice. However, the flight went quickly and I'm glad to be here. THE ADVENTURE BEGINS!!.... right after I take a nap (also, some dick cut me off in the check-in line and stole my window seat, so I get stuck between him and some old lady who can't sit still and smelt like pepper. Couldn't sleep and my knee was killing me (from a surfing accident I had a few weeks prior).
END ENTRY
Two weeks later I packed up and left for JFK and boarded an American Airlines flight bound for London Heathrow.
